Submissions for Headcanon Magazine’s Issue 1: THE BELLS are now open!

Dear friend,

India won its iv cricket world cup match yesterday, the weather is lovely, & I’m halfway through Charlotte Brontë’s “Shirley”. Hence, it seems like as good a time as any other to give words to this stunningly hopeful news.

Headcanon Magazine, the literary & art journal where I serve as Editor-in-Chief, has opened submissions for its inaugural issue: THE BELLS. Our chosen theme is The Brontë Sisters; & we are attempting a reflection over the influence of the Brontë family — and their literary works — across centuries. Our guest editor is the lovely Kristin Rivers. Submissions are open from June 15 to August 20; & there’s no submission fee. Plus, the accepted submissions will receive a share from the total proceeds earned post 3 months of release. Readers are welcome to submit: poems, letters, diary-entries, reviews, character studies, playlists, & divergent story arcs; inspired by Charlotte, Anne & Emily’s various works.

If you find your interest piqued, you can read the detailed submission guidelines here. We would love to read your creations.

Thank you for being here. I hope you have a great week!
